Why this matters
WARDOGS is built around teamplay — support actions pay real cash, proximity/squad voice assumes coordination, and a six-role squad (Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot) consistently outperforms six solo players. Squadding up isn't optional flavor, it's how the game's own systems are meant to be played.
Finding a squad in The Kennel's Discord
- Head to
#looking-nowand either use the Find / Create a Squad panel or the/lfgcommand. - The LFG wizard asks for Region, Role, Languages, and Squad Size, pre-filled from your onboarding role selections if you've set them.
- Creating a squad spins up a host-controlled temporary voice channel and posts an LFG card in
#looking-nowwith a Join-Voice button, pinging your selected region role. - There's a per-user cooldown between LFG posts (5 minutes) — plan your post rather than spamming retries.
- If you'd rather join an existing squad, jump straight into an open temp-voice channel from an active LFG card instead of posting your own.
Setting up your profile roles first
Before you LFG, set your Region, combat role(s), language(s), and playstyle (Standard/Hardcore) via Discord's native onboarding or in #choose-your-role. This is what makes the LFG tool actually pre-fill useful defaults for you, and what lets the region-ping feature reach the right people.
Finding [KNL] servers in-game
WARDOGS uses a server browser, not automated matchmaking — admins run their own dedicated servers. To find The Kennel's:
- Open the in-game server browser.
- Search
[KNL]. - Join a listed [KNL] server for your region (EU is live at launch; NA/OCE/Asia expand as the community grows).
Common mistakes
- Queuing solo and wondering why support actions (revives, transport, supply) never come your way.
- Posting an LFG request with no role/size specifics, making it hard for others to know if they fit.
- Never setting up Discord onboarding roles, missing the region ping when someone nearby is looking for exactly your role.
- Forgetting to search
[KNL]specifically in the server browser — WARDOGS has no auto-matchmaking into community servers.
