Squadding up — never solo-queue again, using The Kennel's LFG tools and the in-game server browser.

Every kilogram you carry stacks into a weight class that taxes how you move. Here's how to count yours.
Armour is a durability pool over specific body zones — which is why limbs stay soft and sustained fire wins twice.
Unlocks cost more than the gear behind them, and they're level-gated. Spreading yourself thin makes everything slower.
The Hot Zone isn't weather. Capture the towers, assemble the code, and drag it onto ground you already hold.

The questions new players ask most, answered short. Every one of them has a full guide above.
WARDOGS is a large-scale tactical shooter built around a cash economy. You buy your weapon, armour and equipment before each life, and you lose that kit if you die — so the loop is earn money, spend it on a loadout you can afford, complete objectives, and bank the difference. Roles (infantry, medic, recon, support, driver, pilot) each have their own progression track and unlocks. Start with the match loop and the economy, then pick a role and learn one job properly.
Getting started takes three things, in order: understand the match loop and the control zone, understand the cash economy so you stop losing kit you can't replace, then pick one role and learn that job properly instead of sampling all six. The Start Here section below walks through exactly that, and the first-match walkthrough covers your opening twenty minutes step by step. You do not need to read every guide — four of them will get you competent.
Once you can survive a match, improvement comes from the specifics rather than general practice: zeroing your sights for the range you actually shoot at, knowing which ammunition beats armour, learning your role's job properly, and stopping the money leak that comes from dying with expensive kit. The Roles playbooks and the step-by-step Tasks section are built for exactly this — each one is a single skill with the mistakes that cost you, plus tips and drills to fix them.
No. WARDOGS launches into Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026 at $39.99, with a $49.99 Supporter Edition. There is no battle pass and the developers have said it is not pay-to-win — everything is earned with in-game cash.
Steam Early Access begins 10 September 2026. A Closed Beta ran 21–24 August 2026, which is where most current community data comes from — expect prices and unlock levels to shift at launch.
Objectives, kills and vehicle destruction pay out during the match, with distance and hot-zone multipliers on top. Anything you survive with is refunded at the end of the round, so extracting alive with expensive kit is worth more than trading it for one more fight.
The free recruit rifles — Bushmaster M17S, A-91 and KH-2002 — fire the same 5.56x45mm round for the same 28 damage as a $2,800 M4. What you buy when you upgrade is full auto, handling and attachment options, not stopping power. Spend your first cash on ammunition, armour and a medical kit instead of a rifle.
The Kennel is an open WARDOGS community Discord with a squad finder, regional roles, voice channels and community servers. Post what you want to run and the bot pings players in your region with a voice channel ready to go — no application and no clan tag required.
Guides get you started — squads get you good. Jump into the Kennel Discord, grab a role, and run drills with people happy to teach.
